The GWVAS offers opportunities for its members and friends to search for birds both locally and afar. For twenty-two years we’ve been leading bird walks, typically on the fourth Sunday of each month, in the Kirby Park Natural Area, a riparian forest that lies along the banks of the Susquehanna River on the Kingston side. We’ve also been compiling bird sightings of interest. These can include rare or unusual visitors, or birds whose presence in ur area indicates that spring or fall migration is underway.
